ATI Catalyst 9.4 with WHQL Certification for Windows 7
This time it took ATI only one day to test their new Catalyst drivers, version 9.4, to obtain the WHQL certification for Microsoft’s new operationaly system, Windows 7.
The drivers were never a high point for ATI, both for its delay between one version and the next, and the many problems users found with new releases, being unable to push the hardware to the maximum. Obtaining the WHQL certification in one day shows that ATI has been working hard not to allow nVIDIA to step even further away.
Those who wish to test the new Microsoft OS, now with its Release Candidate version, can download the drivers for their own videocard on ATI’s official driver page.
It’s worth reminding users that the complete WHQL-certified version of the Catalyst drivers (9.5) with support for Windows Vista and Windows 7 should be launched by the end of this month.
